I expect us to be productive. That’s awkward because I’m the lowest on the team, and sometimes my expectations for productivity can come across like a judgment of the leadership.
I don’t mean it to be. I just get impatient sometimes.

Mark,
Leading the leaders can be tricky business, but need neither be judgmental nor avoided. My favorite tactic is to communicate my enthusiasm for the leader’s goal(s), and then state my intention in terms of how it supports and will facilitate achievement of the leader’s goal.
What I’m doing is helping provide the frame of reference through which I want my idea, concern, and/or action interpreted.
Thanks for the insight!
