I've finished all the deadline project, and I made sure the department heads saw that I'm able to work well under pressure. The district manager position will open in two weeks, and I'm confident that I'm the first choice, at least with the heads. EDIT

Burnt Out

Nothing happening this weekend, but I could use the break. I had to work over 70 hours last week to finish my projects, which was too much to maintain quality. I'm happy that I'm busy, but I have to maintain a balance between life and work. EDIT

Be intentional and thoughtful about incorporating fun into the work year. Break up the intensity of your efforts with regular opportunites to let down and enjoy each other. Celebrate birthdays, throw wedding and baby showers, mark the holidays. At least quarterly pause to relax together.
